Corey Maric Youth Program

Youth Mental Health Support

As they grow and mature, children and young people frequently experience a variety of emotional distress. Children, for instance, frequently experience school-related anxiety, and adolescents frequently experience brief bouts of temporary depression. If symptoms continue, it might be time to get professional help. A person's mental health is a state of well-being in which they are aware of their own capabilities, able to deal with everyday stresses, work effectively, and contribute to their community. Young people's ability to lead fulfilling and productive lives can be hindered by poor mental health.

Warragul Wellness Centre and The Corey Maric Youth Support Foundation have formed a partnership through the Corey Maric Youth Program, with the goal of easing the financial burden on youth who need help with their mental health.

As a result of this collaboration, we are offering a limited number of subsidised counselling/psychology sessions to local youth in the Drouin and Warragul areas.

To apply you must complete our referral form below. Self-referral or a referral from a practitioner or parent is required to be considered as a candidate of the Corey Maric Youth Program. Because we operate as a private practice, certain criteria must be met in order to be eligible.

Eligible candidates will be offered 6 subsidised sessions. A contribution of $20 per session is required.

Let’s Work Together

Please complete the referral form below if you are interested in being a recipient of the Corey Maric Youth Program. We have licensed Psychologists and Counsellors delivering our program. Each client will be paired with a practitioner based on their eligibility. Requests will not be granted, and you may not have the same practitioner each session.
Please understand that not all referrals will be accepted. If you are eligible, someone will get in touch with you to set up an appointment or add your name to the waitlist. Only people between the ages of 15 and 24 are eligible for the subsidised appointments.

As we have a wait list non-attendance could mean losing your spot in the program. There will be a non-attendance fee of $80. More than two non-attendances will result in you being removed from the program. If you are unable to attend or need to reschedule your appointment, please contact the Warragul Wellness Centre as soon as possible on 56364902. There will be a limit of the number of rescheduled appointments allowed. This is at the discretion of the allocation manager.

Successful applicants can reapply to the program after the 6 sessions have been redeemed. Applications will be assessed with the same criteria as well as attendance history from previous appointments.
