EMDR Consultant
Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Cate Bearsley-Smith is an accredited EMDR Consultant and a Clinical Psychologist with a special love for helping people achieve their growth goals utilising EMDR Therapy. During the past twenty years Cate has worked in the public and private sectors of clinical psychology.
If you’re not yet familiar with it, EMDR stands for Eye Movement De-sensitisation and Reprocessing.
It is an evidence-based therapy that is particularly helpful for treating psychological symptoms stemming from adverse life experiences, traumas large and small.
EMDR is not just for healing from trauma. It is also used for performance enhancement, making difficult decisions, coping with hard changes or a shock, improving self-belief, resolving internal conflicts or complicated grief or avoidance problems, and more.
There is more information about engaging in an EMDR Intensive with Cate at
