Hi I'm Jacqui and I am a Doula located in the Warragul area. I was a nurse (13 years), am a mother of 5 and Owner of Warragul Wellness Centre and The Pilates Studio Warragul. I am extremely passionate about educating women on their options, both medical and natural in an unbiased way. I enjoy being able to connect and support women through their journey into motherhood. I strongly believe that information is power and that everyone has the right to choose what works for them and their family. I completed my training in 2018 at the Australian Doula College and am both a Birth Doula as well as a Postnatal Doula.

At this stage Jacqui is no longer doing face to face births. Virtual support and pregnancy mentoring is still available.

Jacqui is insured, has a Working With Childrens Check and is a member of Doula Network Australia.

So What is a Doula?

A Doula is a professional trained in childbirth who provides emotional, physical, and educational support to a mother who is expecting, is experiencing labour, or has recently given birth. The Doula’s purpose is to help women have a safe, memorable, and empowering birthing experience.

Most Doula-client relationships begin a few months before the baby is due. During this period, they develop a relationship in which the mother feels free to ask questions, express her fears and concerns, and take an active role in creating a birth plan.

Most Doula's make themselves available to the mother by phone in order to respond to her questions or address any concerns that might arise during the course of the pregnancy. Doula's do not provide any type of medical care. However, they are knowledgeable in many medical aspects of labour and delivery.

As such, they can help their clients gain a better understanding of the procedures and possible complications in late pregnancy or delivery.

My Virtual Doula Package Includes: $750 (50% deposit due on booking)

-2 x 1.5 hour telehealth or phone consultations to plan for labour

-Support via telehealth/phone from 38 weeks until Baby is Born (9am to 8pm weekdays)

-Support via email throughout entire pregnancy and after birth for up to 6 weeks

-On call support via telehealth/phone during labour 24/7 

-1 x 1 hour follow up telehealth/phone consultation 3 to 4 weeks after baby is born

*should you not end up using support during labour you will be given a refund of $200

Pre And Post Birth Package: $500 (50% deposit due on booking)

This is a great option for those wanting someone to be a sounding board for thoughts around your labour and pregnancy as well as follow up support after birth. Perfect for those having their second or subsequent children and may need extra support once home. We will discuss your past birth history, your pregnancy, comfort and care during early and active labour, your feelings about your birth, your fears, informed consent, hospital policies, procedures that may come up before and during labour, Medical interventions, and pain relief options. We can discuss the benefits of breastfeeding, should you decide to breastfeed.

Pre and Post Birth Package includes:

-2 x 1 hour telehealth or phone consultation before baby is born

-1 x 1 hour telehealth or phone consultation in the first week after birth

-Support via email throughout entire pregnancy and after birth for up to 6 weeks

-2 x 1.5 hour in home support (home visit usually 2 – 3 week postpartum after the health nurses have reduced visits) If located within 1 hour of Warragul, otherwise will be telehealth or phone consults

Ultimate Support Package: $1000 (50% deposit due on booking)

This option is for someone that feels they need all the support on offer. This will be a combination of planning, labour and post natal support. This package is designed for continuity of care over your entire birthing experience.

Ultimate Support Package Includes:

-2 x 1 hour telehealth or phone consultation before baby is born to plan your labour

-Support via telehealth/phone from 38 weeks until Baby is Born (9am to 8pm weekdays)

-Support via email throughout entire pregnancy and after birth for up to 6 weeks

 

-On call support via telehealth/phone during labour 24/7

-1 x 1 hour telehealth or phone consultation in the first week after birth

-1 x hour pregnancy/relaxation massage voucher at Warragul Wellness Centre (can be used before or after the baby is born)

-2 x 1.5 hour in home support (home visit usually 2 – 3 week postpartum after the health nurses have reduced visits) If located within 1 hour of Warragul, otherwise will be skype or phone consults

Pregnancy Mentoring: $80 - 60 min session

Meet And Greet: FREE

This is a great way to meet Jacqui via phone, telehealth or in person. You can discuss your needs and whether a Doula is the right fit. Jacqui always encourages clients to interview and meet multiple Doula's once you know that is the right path for you. It is important to feel that you can connect with the Doula of your choosing.
